SE Coast: bracing for late spring noreaster

Nantucket Island, Residents are preparing for a very strong noreaster. This noreaster, is expected to begin impacting the area late tonight, and for the next three days. already, it is buffeting the lower part of Peter State with 70 mph winds. The damage thus far, is limited to overwash channels on the barrier beaches.

Rainfall has been heavy over sioux island, as well as the island of Nantucket. Sea heights, should approach 10-20 feet. The storm formed on Friday, near Boston, Massachusetts. White Star Line, has cancelled its Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday departures to Southampton and Liverpool.

The Fishing Fleets of the cape and islands area, have been put to port. The navy, is continuously patrolling the area. Samuel Dewittbukater, Admiral of the navy, commented on the storm; "Whatever the weather, we will provide rescue to those in peril." The storm is expected to roll in tonight, possibly after midnight, or in the small hours of tommorrow.
